Scaling & Root Planing

When gum pockets begin to form, we will perform what is known as deep cleaning. This two-part process begins with scaling, which is the removal of plaque and tartar from your teeth and below the gumline. We’ll then move on to root planing, which requires smoothing out the roots of your teeth and removing any additional bacteria to encourage proper reattachment over time while also reducing the potential for reinfection.

Laser Periodontal Therapy

To target smaller areas of bacteria that cannot be reached using other specialized instruments, our team uses a Waterlase laser to pinpoint these minor areas so that your smile doesn’t suffer. With a single, concentrated beam of light, we can treat only the diseased tissue, leaving the rest of your mouth alone so that you can feel confident in the health and future of your smile.
